VR Rotorua Lake Resort sits on 6 acres on the shores of Lake Rotoiti, 15 minutes drive from Central Rotorua. The property stands on the site of the first Māori settlement in the region, established by Ihunga and his dog. The hotel provides free transfers to and from Rotorua International Airport, 7 minutes away; Hells Gate Thermal Park and Kaituna River Wild Water Rafting & Scenic Walks are also 7 minutes, and Redwood Forest is 10 minutes drive.
